There’s a 2WD version but the much more adept 4WD car is only slightly dearer. If you need something bigger, the purpose-built Nissan Pathfinder SUV with up to 7 seats and (in Aventura spec) superb equipment levels is an impressive Land Rover Discovery alternative that will go for years and still be worth plenty of money when you sell it on.
The Nissan Murano is an off the wall 5 seat lifestyle estate choice with plenty of appeal, especially as you can now pick up three year old models with a five figure saving on the new ticket price. Before the Nissan Note mini-MPV was launched the Nissan Almera Tino was Nissan’s people-carrier and it’s a terrific used buy, especially in 2.2 diesel guise. New drivers and city motorists can go for the well proven Nissan Micra in either hatch or steel roofed convertible versions. Nissan Micra is a popular choice but be aware of that when looking at used examples, big discounting on new cars means that the best used Nissan Micras will be more than a couple of years old.
